    Meet Joey Reyes

    Joey Reyes has a heart for the community and his desire is to bring Hope and Inspiration to current Union students, teachers, and staff as well as future generations.

    Joey Reyes is the son of an immigrant, husband, father, and has lived in the Union School District since moving to Oklahoma in 1993. Joey has invested himself in the community in many ways as a small business owner for the past 24 years and co-founder of a local non-profit. He is running for Union School Board Zone 1 to be a representative, an open ear, and a voice for the community and to help Union continue increasing knowledge and awareness of the diversity in the Union School District.

    Joey graduated from Union High School in 1996 and he and Lyndsey, his wife, have chosen to continue to live and raise their family in the Union district. They have had three children graduate from Union and currently have two enrolled, one at Union High School and the other at Peters Elementary where Joey serves as the PTA President. He has served as the Union Baseball Booster Club President and was the Treasurer when Union Baseball won the State Title. He and his family have fostered over 50 children since 2013 and many of them from the Union School District.

    Joey and Lyndsey founded James Mission which provides emergency resources for children in foster care. He currently serves as a Board Member for TFI Family Services, Texas Family Initiative and Family Connections providing foster care services and care for the children and families in Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas.

    Register To Vote

    Deadline to register to vote in the April 6th election is March 12, 2021. You may also register to vote using the OK Voter Portal’s voter registration wizard to complete your voter registration application online. Then print it, sign it, and mail it to your county election board. You will get a confirmation number that can be used by your county election board to check the status of your registration.     Voting By Mail

    The deadline to request a ballot by mail is 5 PM on March 23, 2021. Absentee voting is an easy and convenient way to exercise your right to vote. Any registered voter in Oklahoma may vote by absentee ballot. It is not necessary to give a reason for voting absentee. Apply to vote by mail here: https://okvoterportal.okelections.us

    Voting Early In Person

    Early in-person voting will be Thursday, April 1st through Saturday April 3rd. Due to COVID-19 precautions, please check the Tulsa County Election Board’s website for the most up-to-date information on where early in-person voting will be available. The Tulsa County Election Board can be found here: https://www.tulsacounty.org/tulsacounty/electionboard.aspx

    Voting on Election Day

    Election Day is Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 7 AM to 7 PM at your local precinct polling location. Check your precinct polling location through the OK Voter Portal is: https://okvoterportal.okelections.us
